Exploring The Region’s Sights
The city of Avignon is a ten-minute drive away. For the non-drivers, there is regular daily bus service into Avignon and the surrounding towns of Arles, Chateaurenard, and St Rémy. For the explorers, the Luberon and its famous villages are 30 minutes away to the east, while the north offers you Orange and Chateauneuf du Pape within the same amount of time.
The Pont du Gard and Nimes are within 45 minutes to the west, while the south gives you St Rémy, les Alpilles and its picturesque villages as well as Arles, Tarascon and Baucaire within 30 minutes.
For the more adventurous, a 60 to 90-minute drive will take you to Marseille or the beautiful village of Cassis for a dip in the Mediterranean Sea. The Camargue, with Les Saintes Maries de la Mer and Aigues-Mortes, is also within an hour’s drive. We know you will love exploring our region as much as we do. Please ask us if you want information on the area.

Out And About In Our Region
There are Provençal farmers, local and truffle markets (winter only) in Provence every day of the week, normally starting at 8 am and finishing around 1 pm. Our favourites are Saint-Rémy-de-Provence on a Wednesday, Uzès on a Saturday, L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue or Chateaurenard on a Sunday. If you are visiting in the summer, our advice is to go early, as by 10 am, they are very busy. https://www.avignon-et-provence.com/en/way-life/provencal-gastronomy/agenda-markets-provence.
Follow in Van Gogh’s footsteps – follow a self-guided walk in St Remy de Provence featuring his well-known paintings.
And not to be missed is Carrières de Lumières – the digital art exhibition space near Les Baux de Provence. Digital images of famous paintings (changed yearly) are projected onto the huge walls of the quarries with musical accompaniment. It is an incredible spectacle and one we recommend you visit. https://www.carrieres-lumieres.com/
Excellent location and lovely warm welcome. The tranquility of the site was excellent- lovely gardens. The village being so close meant we could just leave the car and walk or take a bus to different places. The pool house was perfect for the two of us- with air conditioning, which was very welcome. Wish we could have stayed longer.
A lovely, peaceful location with a stunning house & gardens. We cycled from Avignon train station, which was really easy. Friendly & helpful hosts when we saw them. Beautiful big pool with lots of loungers and space. Nothing to fault, would love to visit again.
The entire property was thoughtfully appointed and beautifully maintained. Our roomy gite was spotless and well-equipped. There were many unexpected amenities, such as sunscreen and a welcome bottle of wine, and our hosts were well-informed about area activities and festivities. We particularly enjoyed the exceptional pool and surrounding gardens on the very hot days of our stay.
